Our Search for Wisdom

“To understand the actual world as it
is, not as we should wish it to be, is
the beginning of wisdom.”

– BERTRAND RUSSELL, Mortals and Others

Wisdom does not condone or castigate.Wisdom does not
blame or fault.

Wisdom shoulders a certain level of responsibility by
seeing the world exactly as it is, and exactly as it is not.

Wisdom provides an untainted view by shunning
explanations, excuses, assessments, descriptions,
reasons, and justifications that twist reality to make it fit
what people want to see.

Wisdom halts distortion, misrepresentation, conforming, or
subjugation.

Wisdom, therefore, enables people to deal with “what is,”
not “what ought to be” or “what should be.”
